Simply increasing X-Bass and the crossover values before restoring them to your preference seems to do the trick here. Opening alsamixer suggests that your settings were preserved but your ears will disagree. ![]() When doing this you'll notice an abundance of bass after a reboot. However, setting X-Bass to zero while specifying a crossover is useful to reduce bass in the absence of a full EQ (see last point). Secondly, for a long time I'd noticed that X-Bass/X-over settings weren't restored after reboot but I disregarded the issue due to not wanting extra bass. I didn't get round to determine which particular effect was responsible as the issue is moot with the above script. I also noticed InFX having an effect on whether the front headphone jack would auto-detect. When trying to add it to the CA0132 patch, at the snd_pci_quirk ca0132_quirks section, I added the following line: SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x1458, 0xA046, "Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming G1", QUIRK_R3DI), I don't know if it's because it needs a different firmware or if some additional settings need to be added to the CA0132 patch. It's pin config it's very similar to Recon3Di but it's seems that there are some differences and using this quirk doesn't works (except for Digital Output). ![]() But there is still work to do in order to support the rest of CA0132 variants. Recently ZxR headphone gain control was improve, new quirk id for recon 3D was added and a fix for AE-5 microphone selection commands. The only reason I open it is because yours is close and this wonderful reverse engineering work should be completed with all variants of CA0132.
